QUIQUE GUASCH WITH THE BARCELONA CUP

The journalist Quique Guasch, he is one of the professionals most known in the journalistic panorama of our country. In these moments he is a presenter of ‘El Rondo’, a program of Televisión Española that revises the soccer current importance with guests of the first level. Barcelona Cup it has been with him and has spoken to us about the tilt:

P: Quique, did you knew the Barcelona Cup?

QG: Yes. I know her from his beginning, since I had the opportunity to her present to all the informative means, in his first edition, and since then that I follow your tilt and am dependent on his evolution. That the latter year you have celebrated your tenth anniversary. I believe that you realize a labor very encomiable.

P: About this I wanted to speak to you. What aspects would you distinguish from our tilt?

QG: What I believe that it is necessary to value over everything, is the opportunity that offers the Barcelona Cup to all the participants to be able to enjoy the sport and the tourism simultaneously. And it can only clear that Barcelona is the ideal city to do it. In addition it is not necessary to forget aspects for me fundamental as the integration of the different cultures that are mentioned in the tilt and the promotion of the sport in young lads.

P: To the Barcelona Cup there come lads of very diverse age, can it be a tilt in which we find some future secret 'star player'?

QG: The world of the football is very wide, and I would not be surprised that for the way any good future player was getting lost. I believe that for the diversity of the tilt, it would not be of any more that any ojeador was coming. Without going beyond, also that at present exists mas of four players playing in the first division that they have taken part in your Tilt.

P: Have you played to football?

QG:Mió was the basketball, though with my friends towards some that another skittle. I remember an equipment that we did for a Tilt that we play in the facilities of the old field of Net, of the RC.D.E. Spanish. The equipment was calling “Los Cuervos”.

P: What do you surprise more of the Barcelona Cup?

QG: Before it was referring to the multiculturalidad of this event. But one of the things that I surprise more, and throwing a glimpse to the cartel of every year, it is since you achieve that there come equipments of almost five continents. There have come sets of Saudi Arabia, the Island Meeting, Panama, Cyprus or Ukraine. It is this what I surprise positively, and in addition I believe that it is an element that you must follow promoting.

P: The labor of formation of a football player, when does it begin really?

QG: The football player begins his formation in all that it kicks to a ball. But it must be more intense and continued when already it forms a part of the insole of an equipment. But I would like to add that all that must go accompanied and very narrowly of the formation as person, it is something fundamental. Only it is necessary to see the quantity of good players who have got lost for not having a formation adapted as persons.

P: Speak little football to us, how do you see the Spanish League this season?

QG: At the moment the beginning of league already it has been a declaration of intentions. The Barça returns to have many options to confirm the title of league, but other rivals it has been reinforced very well. With Real Madrid it will be necessary to hope that Capello connects his new pieces. The Sevilla already we saw of what is capable in the Superglass. The Valencia has begun the championship of spectacular form, and the Athletic one of Madrid has reinforced good and account with a very good technician. It can be a very opened league.

P: To finish, what advice would you give us to improve the Barcelona Cup?

QG: I am not who to say it. But for what I know about the tilt, I only would say to you that you should continue in the same line, and especially to promote and to consolidate the elementos that I believe that already they have done of the Barcelona Cup a classic summer event in Barcelona.
